Dr. Stephanie Davis is a counselor specializing in anxiety related disorders, including Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and Panic Disorder. Her research during undergraduate and graduate school focused on the identification and treatment of mental health concerns in childhood and adolescence. She obtained her undergraduate degree in psychology and her doctoral degree in counseling psychology from Brigham Young University (BYU). She completed her internship at Texas A&M University, where she specialized in treating young adults suffering from anxiety and depressive disorders. She completed specialized training in biofeedback in order to help anxious clients become more aware of their bodily sensations and learn to reduce physical reactivity. She has led Anxiety and OCD groups, focusing on exposure and mindfulness approaches. She completed post-doctoral work at St. Edward’s University, serving as a triage, crisis, and general counselor for young adults.
Dr. Davis has extensive experience working as a counselor with mild to severe anxiety concerns in individual and group settings. She regularly presents to college and community groups on the treatment of anxiety concerns. She is an advocate for early identification and intervention for childhood emotional concerns and has worked with several middle schools to develop efficient methodologies for identifying at-risk youth.
Dr. Davis grew up in Orange County and is now thrilled to share her hometown with her husband and son.
