In conjunction with the Wellness and Prevention Center, Dr. Hsia will be a panelist at a screening and discussion of “The S-Word”, an award-winning documentary regarding the stigma of suicide.  It is open to the general public, and will be followed immediately by a panel discussion about the film and related issues.

The S Word should not be silenced, Suicide takes the lives of over 44,965 Americans every year. (CDC) In an effort to reduce stimga the documentary film follows the stories of suicide survivors. This powerful film and award winning documentary tackles one of the most unfathomable issues of our time and opens the conversation.

Join the community in a screening of the film followed by a panel discussion with mental health professionals.

This film screening is for adults and youth ages 12 and up and will take place in the Little Theater at San Clemente High School.
